China-Eurasia Expo -- Australia International Trade Association
The 4th Annual China-Eurasia Expo will take place on September 1st, 2014, in Urumqi, Xinjiang. During this expo, Government officials and business professionals from all over China, Asia, and the world will gather to build business relations and facilitate regional and international trade. Delegates will have the opportunity to attend many different forums including : China-Eurasia Economic Development Cooperation Forum, ShangHai Cooperation Operation (SCO) Forum, Eurasia Country Investment Promotion Organization Round Table, Financial Cooperation Forum.
Urumqi is a major industrial center in Xinjiang as well as in Western China. Cotton, sugar, beets, wheat, rice, potatoes and fruit are all grown in Xinjiang. Xinjiang has extensive deposits of coal, silver, copper, lead nitrates, gold and zinc. The vast oil fields at Karamay are one of the biggest in China. As a result of Xinjiang's natural resources, there have been billions of dollars of investments in refineries, Ironworks, steelworks, and chemical plants.
